Local image conversion
The homepage image converter processes selected PNG, JPG, WebP, and AVIF images in your browser. These image files are not uploaded to our backend for local conversion.
Browser support can vary by format. If a browser cannot decode or encode a selected format, the conversion may fail locally.
Account and billing data
If you sign in or purchase a paid plan, we may process account identifiers, email address, order status, subscription status, plan selection, and payment provider event metadata needed to provide access and support.
Payment card details are handled by the payment provider checkout page and are not stored by File Format Converter.
Future upload-based features
Future server-side conversion features may require file upload. When such features are introduced, the product interface will identify that upload is required before the user starts that workflow.
We will not describe a conversion as local-only if it requires server-side processing.
Data storage and security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account, order, support, and service data. These measures may include encrypted connections, access controls, limited internal access, logging, and separation of payment card handling through the payment provider.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials private and for using trusted devices and networks when accessing the service.
Third-party sharing and disclosure
We share data only when needed to operate the service, process payments, provide support, protect the service, comply with law, or complete a business transfer such as a merger or asset sale.
Third parties may include payment processors, hosting providers, analytics or security providers, email/support tools, professional advisers, and legal authorities when required. We do not sell your personal information.
Support and security
If you contact support, we use the information you provide to respond to the request. Do not send passwords, payment card details, or sensitive files through support unless specifically requested through a secure process.
Your data rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal data associated with your account. You may also request that we stop certain processing where applicable.
To make a privacy or deletion request, contact support@fileformatconverter.store from the email address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request, and some records may be retained where required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, security, or accounting reasons.
